• On the French side it's the Euro (€). On the Dutch side it's the Guilder (NAF). The US dollar is accepted everywhere.
• Don't hesitate to ask at your hotel for the currest exchange rates. There are also many "bureaux de change" and banks available.
• French and Dutch are the official languages, althought English is spoken everywhere. You will also hear lot of Papiamento, Creole and Spanish spoken.
• Small 12-seater buses can take you most places. The price is 1€/1$ to 2$, depending on your destination.
Taxis have fixed tarifs, so ask first. They can be found in Philipsburg (Front Street), the airports, and the water front in Marigot. It's often interesting to pay in US dollar.
